Take a trip to the Pamirs — without leaving Rzeszów.

This month, Hooray, World! is heading to the Roof of the World.

We’re travelling to Tajikistan, home of the Pamir Mountains, where roads climb higher than the clouds and hospitality is simply part of everyday life.

Our guest, Mashhura, will take you beyond the postcard version of the country: its food, traditions, language and everyday life, and then give you the chance to experience a little piece of it yourself in a short, hands-on workshop.

What is Hooray, World!

Once a month, we hand the room over to someone from a different country.

They share what their homeland is really like, not the tourist brochure version and then lead a short, practical workshop inspired by home: maybe a few words of the language, something to taste, a song, a tradition or a simple skill.

Who is it for?

Expats in Rzeszów
A place where you already have something in common with everyone around you. Come and discover where other people have come from, meet more of Rzeszów’s growing international community and hopefully leave knowing a few more people than when you arrived.

English-speaking locals
Think of it as one of the easiest trips abroad you’ll take this year. Spend an hour and a half discovering Tajikistan through someone’s firsthand experience and have some real English conversation along the way. 

Good to know

Language: The whole event is in English. All levels are welcome — if you can read this, you’ll be fine. 

Coming alone? Most people do. That’s kind of the point.
